The Short Version
Some links on Pointsflare may earn us a commission. That never changes how we rank deals: deals are sorted by points per dollar using a published method, and a deal that pays us nothing can, and often will, rank above one that does. Articles are drafted with AI help from cited sources and checked by a person before they are published.
How Pointsflare Makes Money
Pointsflare's main product is the Pointsflare app, which finds bonus point offers and ranks them by points per dollar. Guides on this site link to the app, and we benefit when you sign up.
As of the date at the top of this page, Pointsflare pages carry no credit card affiliate links. We may add other commissionable links later, such as shopping portal referral links or travel booking links. When we do:
- Any page with a commissionable link shows a short disclosure at the top, before the first link: "Some links earn Pointsflare a commission. This does not change how we rank deals."
- Commissionable links are marked in the page code as sponsored.
- This page lists each type of partner we earn from.
The US Federal Trade Commission asks publishers to disclose affiliate relationships clearly, and close to the recommendation, so readers can decide how much weight to give it (FTC Endorsement Guides FAQ, read 2026-09-30). We follow that on every page, not only this one.
Current Partners
None. This list is updated the same day any partnership starts.
How We Rank Deals
Deals are ranked by points per dollar: the points you get, plus what your card earns on the same spend, divided by what you have to spend. Cash back counts as 100 points per dollar, so 25% back is 25 points per dollar. Grades are Good (10 or more points per dollar), Great (20 or more) and Excellent (50 or more, or no spend needed). Card sign up bonuses, bank account bonuses and sales of points are left out of the ranking. The full method is on How We Rank Deals.
No bank, portal, airline or hotel pays to be included, to rank higher or to be left out. No advertiser reviews or edits our pages before they are published.
How Articles Are Written And Reviewed
- Every guide starts from sources: program and issuer terms pages first, then established points publications.
- A draft is written with AI help. Every figure in it is linked to its source with the date it was read.
- The Pointsflare Editor, a person, checks every figure against its source and approves the page. His name appears as "Reviewed By".
- Point values are opinions. Where we give one, we show the method and the source values it came from.
- We do not invent writers, credentials, reviews, ratings or customer numbers. The byline "Pointsflare Editorial" is our team byline, not a person. See Pointsflare Editorial.
Google asks publishers to make clear who created a page and how, including any use of AI (Google Search Central, updated 2025-12-10, read 2026-09-30). This section is our answer.
Dates And Updates
Every article shows a Published date and an Updated date. Evergreen guides are rechecked at least every 90 days. Deal pages show a "Verified On" date for each deal and drop deals when they expire. Bank and program terms change often; always read the terms on the issuer's own page before you act.
Corrections
If something on Pointsflare is wrong, we fix it and add a dated note at the bottom of the page saying what changed. We do not quietly edit figures. To report an error, use the contact link in the footer and include the page and the figure.
Not Financial Advice
Pointsflare is general information about loyalty programs and offers. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not know your full situation. Opening a credit card affects your credit; carrying a balance usually costs more in interest than any points are worth.
